HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL)  Introduction

You can restore a healthy glow and youthfulness to your skin with HALO – Sciton’s first and most popular hybrid fractional laser for all skin types.

Before HALO, patients had to choose between an ablative or non-ablative treatment.

While ablative treatments are more invasive and typically require a longer downtime, non-ablative treatments may not be as effective as some patients would like.

HALO combines both non-ablative (1470nm) and ablative (2940nm) wavelengths to the same microscopy treatment zone, giving patients remarkable results with minimal downtime—including a dramatic reduction in sunspots, fine lines, wrinkles, skin dullness, and more. Strut into the spotlight confident in your HALO glow!

Frequently Asked Questions

What results can I expect after a HALO treatment?

HALO is a complete skin revitalization laser treatment. You will see overall improvements in your skin, including a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, improved skin reflectivity and glow, and significant discolouration removal.

How many treatments do I need?

You and your dermatologist can choose how many treatments you want to do depending on your skin conditions and your desired goal. You may choose to have one or two aggressive treatments or multiple gentle treatments to achieve the same goal over a longer period.

Who is suitable to have a HALO treatment?

Halo is a suitable treatment for all skin types and anyone looking to improve their skin’s texture and radiance. Halo targets visible signs of aging and years of skin damage. If you suffer from wrinkles, discolouration, pigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone, acne scarring, enlarged pores and poor texture, then the halo treatment is good for you.

What does HALO feel like?

With a topical anaesthetic and integrated cooling technology, patients typically experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will feel warm for 30 to 60 minutes or slightly longer with deeper treatment levels.

How soon after my HALO treatment can I return to normal activities?

For the first 24 hours, you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions. After the first 24 hours, the treated skin will slough off as new, healthy skin comes to the surface. You may experience social downtime for a few days but can resume normal daily activities as desired.

When will I see the results from my HALO treatment?

You will see initial results between two and five days after your HALO treatment, but your skin will improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.

How long will my results last?

Your HALO results will last for years, but you should always keep your skin protected with UV sunscreen. With each additional HALO treatment, you will experience continued improvement with healthier, more youthful-looking skin.
