Dr Raquel Ruiz

Dr Racquel Ruiz is a dermatologist working at Westmead Hospital (General and Oncodermatology Unit). Her interest includes the adverse effects to Oncology Medications and Multiomics.

She completed her training and fellowship in Peru in 2009 then became Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2013 after working at The Alfred, The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and the Skin and cancer Foundation.

She worked at the Victorian Melanoma Service from 2013 to 2019 performing In Vivo Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy at The Alfred, with special interest in mapping ill-defined melanomas. She worked as dermatologist consultant at Geelong Dermatology.

She is a member of Melanoma and Skin Cancer Trials Ltd (Former ANZMTG) which coordinates and conducts quality research for melanoma and she is a Medical Board of Australia appointed supervisor of International Medical Graduates.
